Before going off to my big adventure I had to make some preparations.
- Most important: I need a reliable phone.
Since my Nexus 4 phone was slowly dying I had to get myself a new phone anyway. I selected the Moto g4 plus for its strong battery and a good camera. - Next, I need to be able to take decent photos.
I took my phone for a test to Hamburg. Though it does perform surprisingly well, it cannot compete with proper cameras. I decided to only take a compact camera to reduce weight and size of my luggage. The Canon Powershot S95 is sufficient for my needs. - Then, I had to decide on what bag to take.
I chose a 70 litre backpack from Decathlon bacause it is not too large but large enough.
Now that the important aspects are clear I could apply for my visa and arm myself with necessary medicine. The only thing left to do is to pack my bag. Otherwise, I am all set and ready to go.
